Biography

Sabina Elena Dragomir (b. 1992, Brașov, Romania) is a contemporary painter whose work explores memory, identity, and the body through poetic visual narratives. She completed her secondary studies at the “Hans Mattis-Teutsch" Vocational High School of Fine Arts in Brașov, and later pursued both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Painting at the University of Art and Design, Cluj-Napoca. She earned her Doctorate in Visual Arts with Magna Cum Laude from the same university in 2021. 

Dragomir has taken part in numerous national and international exhibitions. Some of her notable solo and group shows include:

(solo), IAGA Contemporary Art, Cluj-Napoca 

series (2020), with exhibitions in Bucharest, Madrid, and Lisbon in collaboration with the Romanian Cultural Institute 

, Galeria Institutului Cultural Român, Lisbon (2020) 

(2018), Serele Grădinii Botanice “Alexandru Borza", Cluj-Napoca 

, Muzeul de Artă Brașov (18 August – 24 September 2023), a recent solo exhibition curated by Walter Bonomi, Natalie Zangari, and Andreea Pocol 

Today, Sabina Elena Dragomir lives and works in Brescia, Italy. Her practice continues to be built on deeply personal exploration, translating intimate experiences and the female body into images that resonate universally with viewers.
