Biography
Born in 1990, Cindy Ji Hye Kim is a Canadian- Korean artist. She received her MFA from Yale School of Art in 2016, before working as an illustrator in New York.
Kim's monochromatic paintings are created from charcoal, graphite, ink and pastel to create layered, textural compositions. The addition of carved wooden supports transforms the pieces into sculptural creations.
Recent solo exhibitions of Kim's works have taken place in New York (2022); Stavanger, Norway (2022); and Los Angeles (2021).
