Spanish artist, Luis J. Martin Duque was born in Madrid in 1967.
He did a training in Fine arts at the Complutense University in Madrid, and obtained his bachelors degree.
He is mainly focused on painting and sculpture. One really wonders at the realism of his work. The artist draws inspiration from mundane scenes for his creations.
In his sculptures, once can perceive its movements. This impression is further emphasized by the realistic aspect of his work. These are characters, humans basically whose expression is reduced to the bare minimum, though despite its condensed state, they are even more powerful.
Luis J.Martin Duque is inspired by major visual artists like Velazquez or even Rodin, not to mention Degas. He absorbs their creations and pays a tribute to them in each of his work.
