Biography
Dasha S. Kandinsky was born in Ukraine and now lives as a contemporary artist in Switzerland. Descendant of the Kandisky dynasty.
After graduating from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kyiv, she earned a master's degree. He then taught art at the academy as an assistant professor.
She then moved to New York and has been developing her own art style ever since (for over 15 years).
She believes that “a work of art should be syncretic" and therefore uses an academic manner as the basis for her artworks. “A work of art is only complete if it contains both myth (non-verbal philosophy) and aesthetics." It combines mystical expressionism, naked sexuality and symbolic mythology.
