Biography

Lucy Moon is a contemporary artist based in Phuket, Thailand, working primarily in oil on canvas and digital media. Her painting practice began more than fifteen years ago in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and developed through mentorship with contemporary Russian artists Igor Sakharov and Vitaly Antipin.

Lucy Moon's visual language is shaped by color, light, and the emotional atmosphere of place. Living in Phuket brought the intensity of tropical nature into her practice: saturated hues, expressive brushwork, layered texture, and a strong sense of movement have become central to her paintings.

Rather than simply documenting her surroundings, Lucy Moon translates landscapes and everyday scenes into heightened emotional experiences. Nature and changing light become ways to explore energy, renewal, and the immediate pleasure of being present in a particular moment.

Alongside oil painting, she works with digital media, extending her interest in vibrant color and dynamic composition across different formats. Lucy Moon also runs her own studio, where she teaches children and adults. Across her practice, she seeks to preserve the vitality of lived experience and transform familiar moments into vivid encounters with color, movement, and atmosphere.
