Biography
Fi Henshall is an English artist born in 1981 in Fishguard in the Souh West of Wales.
She studied sculpture at the Falmouth School of Arts where she graduated in 2004. She then started working in a waste recycling center, and then in an organic farm as a waitress. Fi Henshall decided then to start fabricating "things".
A self taught artist, she started fabricating marionettes before beginning her creation of automata which she placed in situations she finds attractive. She made her first automaton in 2009 but face the problem of her lack of knowledge of mechanics, so she says she makes her pieces for her own amusement.
