Scott Jacobs

Scott Jacobs (b. 1958) is an American photorealist painter best known as the first officially licensed Harley-Davidson fine artist, a distinction he earned in 1993. Born in Cranford, New Jersey, and raised in Westfield, Jacobs began his career as an art gallery owner before turning to painting professionally in 1989 after receiving an easel and paints as a Christmas gift from his wife, Sharon. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and masterful rendering of chrome, glass, and reflective surfaces, Jacobs creates striking photorealistic paintings of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, classic automobiles, fine wines, spirits, and Americana. His work has also been licensed by Chevrolet, Ford, Mattel, the Marilyn Monroe Estate, and Elvis Presley Enterprises. Jacobs' artwork has appeared in museums, galleries, and private collections throughout the United States, including the Petersen Automotive Museum. He is also the author of The Motorcycle Art of Scott Jacobs and The Complete Work of Scott Jacobs. Today, he continues to paint from his studio in South Dakota, where his work is celebrated by collectors for its technical precision, craftsmanship, and timeless realism.
