Nadya Safronova is a contemporary artist. Her exhibition practice includes projects in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Rostov-on-Don. In 2026, she presented a solo exhibition at TSUM in Rostov-on-Don and participated in REGIONS. NOTHING IS HAPPENING at Fineart Gallery in Moscow. Her work has also been featured in ART-AGENT magazine and Visual Art Journal. Her international exhibition program includes projects in Shanghai and New Delhi.
Working with oil and acrylic on canvas, Nadya develops a visual language rooted in magical realism. Darkness, mysticism, mortality, and the psychology of fear form the core of her practice. She transforms subjects traditionally associated with anxiety into vivid, visually seductive images, creating a deliberate tension between dark narratives and intense color.
Her practice began as a way of confronting her own fears through painting. Nadya Safronova now approaches darkness not as something to escape, but as territory to examine and transform—revealing beauty within what is usually perceived as unsettling or unknown.
