Andromeda Albina

Andromeda Albina is a contemporary artist based in Moscow whose work has been presented internationally in Italy, Egypt, Singapore, the United States, and Luxembourg. Her exhibitions and competitions include the Luxembourg Art Prize (2020), the 1st Singapore Watercolour Exhibition IBS (2021), M.A.D.S. Gallery and Medina Roma Art Gallery in Italy (2023), and Russian Art Week, where she received first and third place in 2026.

Albina works in acrylic and oil on canvas and also practices traditional icon painting, using tempera on gessoed larch panels. Her visual language moves between abstraction, fantasy, and sacred imagery, with recurring references to skies, angels, dreams, light, and imagined dimensions.

The sky has been central to Albina's imagination since childhood, when she drew clouds and angels while observing the changing sky with her grandmother. In her later practice, this early fascination developed into an exploration of the relationship between the visible and the intangible.

A near-death experience became another defining point in her artistic development, strengthening her focus on celestial imagery and prompting a deeper study of angelic hierarchies and sacred traditions. Through saturated color and fluid, dreamlike forms, Albina approaches painting as an intuitive process in which personal memory, spirituality, and imagination meet.
