David Kramer was born in Manhattan in 1963, too late to live fully the “Mad Men” years, but early enough to be brought up among the infinite promises of the American Dream, an easy life with nice cars, beautiful girls, alcohol and cigarettes. A few years later, still in New York, his artwork (may it be sculptures, silent parodies or drawings) will never cease to confront - with stinging humour and vintage imagery - his own experience of the American dream.
