Biography
Jessica was born and raised in Venezuela, and moved to England at the age of 17, to complete her degree in Interior Architecture.
She has always been intrigued by art, and the impact it has on people. When Jessica completed her degree she started to work as a designer, however, she always found a little time to paint, as she felt the need of doing things with her own hands, using all her senses, which has always been key to her sanity.
She uses color to capture mood. Shapes might derived from spontaneous movement and repetition. Her inspiration comes from shapes, forms and their interaction among themselves and the space that they occupy.
One of the beauties of art is that it allows people to connect not only with the piece but also with themselves.
One of Jessica's goals is to modify perspectives through her work, always looking for fluidity, as everything is ever changing and never still.
In all of her works she is inspired by different elements. She divides her works into different collections, called 'chapters' as she believes they each show how a different element has inspired the art that she creates. Her life is her day-to-day inspiration, she takes from the world materials, shapes, patterns and perspectives and then transplants them as spatial qualities on a two dimensional surface.
