Description

This visual art is a unique piece that perfectly combines functionality and artistic aesthetics. It is a circular mirror encased in a textured and sturdy metal frame, exuding a timeless and industrial charm. What sets this piece apart is the bronze sculpture of an elegant female figure, harmoniously placed on the upper edge of the frame. The figure, perfectly sculpted, rests gracefully, creating a tangible connection between the art and the viewer. The bronze goddess emerges from the frame with a relaxed and contemplative posture, adding a narrative dimension to the piece. Her light and carefree attitude contrasts beautifully with the solidity of the circular frame, establishing a striking visual balance. The patina of the metal, both aged and shiny, brings a visual depth that immediately captures attention and arouses admiration. The thick, layered frame, with its soft contours, frames the mirror itself, which reflects light in an enchanting way, illuminating the surrounding spaces while adding a touch of modern elegance. The combination of mirror and sculpture creates a subtle interactivity, inviting the viewer to see themselves reflected in an artistic context, transcended by the sculptural presence. This work is more than just a mirror; it is a bold statement combining art and interior design, perfect for those looking to add a touch of sophistication and originality to their space. Its dual functional and decorative nature makes it an exceptional addition to any art collection or home decor.

Presentation

Arisztid Szendy, born on May 16, 1936 in Hungary, came from a family of artists like his uncles who were painters and musicians.

He came to France in 1956, the day after the Hungarian revolution.

He began his studies in France at the Beaux Arts in Paris under the guidance of Giacometti, Zadkine and Adam. He learned the art of drawing, modeling and sculpture on different materials but was particularly attached to alloys such as brass and bronze.

He was commissioned to create a bas-relief at the Bank of Bilbao and at the Sand Museum in Port Barcares, took part in exhibitions at the Grand Palais, such as "Jeune sculpture", l'Art sacré, Réalités nouvelles de Paris, and went to settle in Beauce where he appreciated its large expanses of fields in varied colours.

After a passage in the abstract, he comes to the figurative using repoussé, according to boilermaking techniques.

His sculptures evoke women, amplify them, sometimes distort them... he draws a lot of inspiration from fertility.

Its creativity comes above all from internal communication, research...

Over the years, the artist began to make smaller sculptures until he turned to jewelry, which allowed him to participate in the large art studio and Bijhorca fairs twice a year.
