Description
In creating this piece, I sought to explore the interplay between strength and elegance, using the timeless motif of high-heeled shoes. The contrast of the stark black and vibrant red heels portrays a dance of shadows and light, mirroring the complexities of identity and persona. This watercolor on paper encapsulates a moment of poised balance, inviting viewers to reflect on the subtleties of their own journeys and the bold steps they take in life. This artwork, while seemingly simple, charges any space with a dynamic and sophisticated energy, perfect for igniting conversations and enhancing any modern or classical decor
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
