Description
This captivating work depicts two human figures embracing with striking intensity. Their angular, stylized features evoke a raw, expressive modernity. In the background, a complex urban landscape unfolds, introducing an intriguing juxtaposition between the intimacy of the foreground and the bustle of the city. Bold black lines blend with shades of gray, creating striking depth and contrast. The artist masterfully captures the duality between personal love and the outside world. This painting, through its monochrome, evokes a nostalgic yet contemporary atmosphere, while offering a reflection on human connection within an urban setting. The architectural elements blend seamlessly into the composition, reinforcing the idea of a symbiosis between the individual and their environment. A truly unique and emotive work in its execution.
Presentation
FROM CHAOS TO THE LIVING BEING
When I paint or draw, I start from chaos, I begin to paint spontaneously simple elements, forms, lines, surfaces arranged without preconceived ideas on the canvas. These elements intertwine, associate and give birth to complex forms. I reveal then by drawing on this bottom: figures, members, bodies, objects.
This creates diversified characters, which come from the chaos and inscribe their reality. It is a spontaneous, physical and spiritual act.
