Description

This artwork is a vibrant and dynamic composition, showcasing an abstract interplay of colors and forms. Dominated by bold reds and blues, it captures a sense of movement and flow. The central area features a contrasting, undefined grey space, creating a striking focal point. Surrounding this, vivid hues blend with organic, flowing shapes, suggesting an ethereal, dreamlike quality. The use of color and texture creates depth and complexity, engaging the viewer's imagination. The piece is notable for its balance between chaos and harmony, drawing the eye across the canvas. The juxtaposition of striking colors against the muted center evokes a sense of tension and intrigue, making it a captivating visual experience. This composition invites contemplation, encouraging viewers to explore its layered intricacies and emotional undertones. The artwork stands out for its unique blend of abstraction and emotion, offering a powerful visual narrative.

Presentation

Sa Hara is a Korean artist born in 1975 who lives and works in Seoul, South Korea. She is graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration at Dongguk University. Through Physical Theatre, the artist explores how characters reflect one another, expressing freedom and imagination through bodily performance. With a keen interest in the movement of the human body, observations are transformed into unique works that convey the unrestricted freedom of the mind. Each work contains a narrative, featuring characters and networks of relationships. These relationships are not confined by social or legal structures but instead reflect a worldview of relative freedom. Using the non-verbal language of bodily movement, the characters perform as if on stage, reflecting each other, becoming aspects of one another, and giving rise to thoughts and actions, thus existing through each other and forming the whole. The artist draws inspiration from human movement, real-life stories of relationships, fictional novels, and videos on Instagram and YouTube. Plants, books, music, dance, and various forms of art also provide intellectual stimuli, which are combined with imagination to create the works.
