Description

Say Hellew!: Colorful Figurative Textile Collage with Spiritual Themes

Colorful textile artwork invites a closer look at "Say Hellew!" (30 x 40 x 0.7 cm / 11.81 x 15.75 x 0.28 in), a unique collage on paper by Anna Bell. A seated maternal figure emerges through overlapping pink, orange, and powder-blue forms. Pale yellow, deep red, and navy add contrast, while the off-white background keeps the composition clear and spacious.

The artwork brings sacred themes into a bright, minimalist language. Soft textile surfaces offer a welcoming setting for reflection on motherhood, women's roles, the body, and spirituality. A little red plant beside the figure adds a domestic detail, connecting the symbolic atmosphere with an everyday sense of care.

Its portrait format works especially well in a modern bedroom, living room, or reading corner, where the fabric texture can complement wood and soft furnishings. Signed on the front and back by the artist, the collage holds appeal for collectors who value both expressive materials and thoughtful subject matter. It is also an ideal gift for someone whose home reflects a love of color, contemporary design, and emotionally meaningful artwork.

The artwork is shipped in a frame (43.5x33.4 cm). The frame can be either white or black, at the collector’s choice.

Presentation

Anna Bell is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting and digital media. She studied Visual Design and Media Communications at the European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania, and later expanded her practice through studies in fashion illustration, icon painting, and medieval painting. Her work has been presented in exhibitions in Belarus and Canada, including Belarus Art & Fashion Week in Minsk and Futuristic Blockchain Week in Toronto. In 2026, she is scheduled to participate in the Southern Cross Residency program in Italy.

Working between symbolism and magical realism, Anna explores the human desire to reach beyond the self—to seek connection with God, nature, higher forces, and a lost sense of paradise. Rather than depicting transcendence as something distant or monumental, she finds it within everyday life and fleeting moments of beauty.

Her figures inhabit worlds where the logic of ordinary reality dissolves: interiors merge with nature, the sacred meets the routine, and mythology, personal experience, antiquity, and imagined futures coexist. Anna Bell combines bright yet delicate acrylic colors, contrasting outlines, and the tactile surfaces of oil pastel with elements drawn from traditional iconography, including symbolic imagery, layered compositions, arches, and gilding.

Her paintings often develop alongside written texts informed by philosophy, psychology, literature, and personal experience. Together, they form a visual diary of moments in which the ordinary opens onto something larger—a reminder that wonder, beauty, and a sense of the divine can still be found within daily life.
