The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Yachts in the Sea under the Gentle Sun" captures a serene yet vibrant coastal scene, where the harmony between humanity and nature is expressed through the interplay of light, water, and daily maritime life. The painting draws the eye immediately to the shimmering surface of the sea, depicted with bold strokes of turquoise, emerald, and deep blue, interlaced with golden reflections from the soft sun above. The water appears alive, constantly moving and breathing, its surface both mirror and mosaic. It embodies a dual character: tranquil in its essence, yet rippling with dynamic energy, reflecting the life that flourishes upon and around it. At the center of this maritime tableau, yachts and smaller boats float gently, their hulls painted in muted yet elegant tones of cream, yellow, and white, offset by splashes of orange from life vests and ropes. These vessels are not static objects but characters in their own right, telling stories of journeys taken, nets cast, and horizons explored. The delicate masts rise upward, slender and rhythmic, forming vertical counterpoints to the horizontal expanse of the sea and sky. The ropes and flags flutter gently, hinting at the light breeze that fills the scene with freshness. The pier, extending firmly into the waters, becomes a stage for human presence. Figures, sketched with swift, impressionistic strokes, occupy the space with purpose yet without disturbance to the natural tranquility. A man leans over, perhaps checking equipment or securing a vessel, while another figure walks with ease, basking in the calmness of the sun. Their postures and movements, though small in scale against the grand setting, add intimacy and relatability to the painting. On the far side, silhouettes of more people gather, partially obscured by the structure of the pier and surrounding buildings, suggesting community, exchange, and the timeless rhythm of harbor life.

Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
