Description
A vibrant encounter between structure and leisure. This 1980 composition blends still life motifs with an abstract sensibility. A hand grips a glass of citrus drink, evoking a moment of summer repose. The background dissolves into rhythmic blue lines, mirroring the shimmer of water or a distant horizon.
The artist draws on his architectural background to organize the space. Strong linear patterns contrast with organic shapes. A draped textile introduces a playful geometric rhythm, punctuated by colorful accents that echo the warmth of the sun.
Created through a marriage of painting and lithography, the artwork displays a rich tactile quality. The palette remains bright and optimistic, capturing a fleeting sense of refreshment. Every stroke reflects a commitment to versatile experimentation and visual harmony. The scene closes with the soft green of a garden edge, anchoring the floating forms in a tangible, outdoor setting.
