Description
This fascinating painting depicts an abstracted figure dissolved in a composition of colors and forms. The figure remains recognizable as a subject, but the painterly fascination emanates from the harmonious tension of the composition, which combines dynamic expressiveness with a clear, structured arrangement.
Wolfgang Leber considers himself neither an exclusively abstract nor a figurative painter. He finds his subjects in the urban environment of his hometown, Berlin. He prefers simple everyday situations: cityscapes, cafés, everyday activities, and more. In this painting, it's "cleaning."
