Olajire Olalekan

"Anxiety" is a stunning piece of artwork that captures the complex emotions and inner turmoil that many of us experience on a daily basis. Created by rising artist, Olajire Olalekan, this piece is a powerful example of modern art that challenges the viewer to explore the depths of their own emotional landscape.

The painting depicts a lady standing, holding a single rose in her hand and putting the second hand on her lips. The expression on her face is one of anxiety and worry, with her eyes cast downward and her body tense. The rose in her hand adds a sense of fragility to the scene as if the delicate flower could be crushed at any moment.

The attention to detail in the painting is remarkable, with every nuance of the lady's expression captured in exquisite detail. The use of color is also noteworthy, with muted tones of blue and green creating a sense of unease and tension. The overall effect is both haunting and beautiful, drawing the viewer into the scene and evoking a range of emotions.

The title of the artwork, "Anxiety", adds an extra layer of meaning to the piece. It suggests that the lady in the painting is experiencing a profound sense of worry and apprehension. The rose in her hand could be seen as a symbol of hope and beauty, but it could also represent the potential for pain and hurt.

How I wish, I never do this.
How I wish, I never embarked on this type of journey of regret.
How I wish, I waited a little longer for you.
I was intoxicated and overwhelmed by the outward look of humans.
How I wish, to turn back the hands of time.
But No, I couldn't.
Cos time waits for no man.
How I wish to turn the hands of time to make things right.
How I wish I never had to regret my actions one day. Regret is like a poisonous venom that kills souls and bodies.
How I wish I never allowed you

What makes "Anxiety" so powerful is the way it captures the universal experience of anxiety. We all have moments when we feel overwhelmed by the stresses of life when the future seems uncertain and the present is overwhelming. The painting serves as a reminder that we are not alone in these moments, and that there is beauty and hope to be found even in the midst of anxiety.

In conclusion, "Anxiety" is a haunting and beautiful piece of artwork that captures the complexity of the human experience. Maya Singh has created a masterpiece that challenges the viewer to explore their own emotions and reflect on the beauty and pain of life. Whether viewed as a commentary on the universal experience of anxiety or as a beautiful work of art in its own right, "Anxiety" is a truly remarkable piece that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who see it.
