Description
It is here that Simenon wrote many of his famous novels. He had to stand on the bench on the right, where we guess in the photo surrounded by friends. This grandiose place was a hospital for Poor Girls then a theater before becoming this Belle Epoque café which seems to be struggling to stay in its old gold today. In order to convey her emotion, the artist has placed herself in such a way as to have this living room deliberately deprived of life in the foreground to whisper to us... and if you read again, The ghosts of the hatter for example?
Presentation
"Bonpointism" could be her trademark because, born in an unmade bed of teachers in the land of Jaurès, she never stopped creating the images she dreamed of owning as a child.
The work, especially figurative, is aimed at people wishing to live daily with this particular breath in a corner of their living space. As the surface area of homes is shrinking especially in the city, the artist has thus been led to favor medium to small formats.
