"The Weight of Waiting" is a deeply emotive oil on canvas that captures the stillness of a soul suspended between longing and reflection. The reclining figure, rendered in expressive brushstrokes of muted grays and earthy tones, embodies both fragility and quiet strength. The abstracted form—half-hidden in texture, half-revealed in light—evokes a dreamlike state of vulnerability and resilience. Subtle hints of crimson bleed into the composition, suggesting an undercurrent of unspoken emotion, while the layered surface carries the weight of time, memory, and silence. This piece speaks to the universal human condition of waiting—with patience, with hope, and with uncertainty.
