Description
A woman sits with her body folded inward and her head lowered, creating an intimate image of solitude and emotional withdrawal. The composition is simple and close, allowing posture rather than facial expression to carry the meaning of the work.
Muted blue, gray, violet, pale green, and warm skin tones overlap in fluid brushstrokes. The figure's face is largely concealed by dark hair, while soft highlights along the shoulder, arm, and knee bring the body gently forward from the subdued background.
The artist focuses on vulnerability and deep inward attention without providing a specific narrative. The viewer does not know what has happened before this moment, and that uncertainty is part of the work's appeal: the scene remains open enough to connect with personal experiences of needing privacy, quiet, or distance.
For collectors who appreciate psychological figurative art and emotionally restrained imagery, Not now offers a work that feels personal without becoming sentimental. Its muted palette can bring depth and calm to a bedroom, study, reading area, or contemporary living space.

Presentation
Yuriy Khudov is a contemporary artist. Trained in furniture design and artistic woodcarving, he spent 13 years in the film industry as an art director, concept artist, and 3D modeler before shifting his focus toward figurative painting and drawing. His background also includes visual merchandising and work on the creation and restoration of wooden crosses on the Solovetsky Islands.
Yuriy's practice marks a deliberate move away from digital precision toward ambiguity, physical texture, and expressive gesture. Working across oil painting, drawing, and mixed media, he explores psychological states that exist between clarity and dissolution. Female figures often emerge from darkness or appear suspended between dream, memory, and physical presence. Rather than using color and light to describe reality, Yuriy employs them to create emotional tension and stillness. Unfinished forms, visible brushwork, and disrupted surfaces allow the image to remain open, shifting between recognition and abstraction.
