Bleasure 7 (The Invented Destiny), 2023

Ajegbomogun Damilola

Whatever we consider to be inevitable becomes our destiny, built by our own certainty. When this success and this disease come calling, this accident and this great windfall, we act surprised. We wring our hands or celebrate, and just behind the curtain we nod and nod, knowing and knowing because we created it long ago and then lived towards it.
