Description
Explore "Radiant Orb," a compelling canvas where the playfulness of childhood is depicted against a backdrop of surreal abstraction, a hallmark of Zakhar Shevchuk's artistic expression. This painting intricately layers figuration with abstraction, capturing a snapshot of children immersed in the joy of playing with water. The scene is centered around a luminous, colorful orb, which serves as a poignant symbol of childhood dreams and the hopes that shape our formative years. The orb's placement at the heart of the turmoil of splashing water and playful shouts lends a dreamlike quality to the painting, suggesting the ephemeral nature of the moments that pass too quickly. Shevchuk's technique involves a vibrant palette and a mixture of sharp and blending brush strokes that create a sense of movement and fluidity, echoing the dynamic energy of youth and the fleetingness of time. The painting invites viewers to pause and reflect on their own childhood experiences and the dreams that have accompanied them into adulthood, making it a reflective piece as much as it is a decorative one.
"Radiant Orb" is part of a broader artistic narrative that includes the dynamic sculptures "Splash-1" and "Splash-2". Acquiring these pieces together as intended by Zakhar Shevchuk offers a unique opportunity to experience the full impact of his artistic exploration. A tailored discount is available for collectors who choose to invest in two or all three of these interconnected artworks.
Presentation
“I try to simplify the form to the point when it feels that nothing else shall be removed and only the essential elements remain. I transfer my impressions and self-reflections about objects into my paintings. I express what I feel rather than how I see, often arriving somewhere between figurative and abstract art." Zakhar Shevchuk
Zakhar Shevchuk is a young professional painter and draftsman, he holds a master in arts degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Kyiv, Ukraine) and now himself teaches at the academy. His artworks are held in public and private collections worldwide, furthermore, he often participates in various public projects, such as painting murals and other monumental installations.
With years Zakhar's artistic style moved away from academic realism (which always tended closer to expressionism) and towards the style that in somewhere on the edge between figurative art and abstraction. In many of his works, even those that may seem as fully abstract ones, you will find some elements that were intentionally added, aiming to trick your brain into believing that you have finally found something recognisable, something that matches the reality, but then you suddenly loose it, starting the search over and over again.
