This painting was inspired by how unusual Tuscany landscape can be : straight-line and crisscross cypress trees artistically spread into the valleys of Val dOrcia. Colors were chosen from Random Realism style of picking colors for fantasy skies and foregrounds. She relied on line, form, shape, color and texture to create a compelling image, with cypress trees remaining dominant in the horizon. The cypress trees are a powerful symbol of nature in Tuscany, and particularly of theVal dOrcia region in Tuscany. This artwork is from Zelie's "Tuscany landscape" series.
