Description
1STRASH
"Angel" by Alexander Strashevich is a striking abstract work that embodies spiritual and symbolic elements through geometric forms and subtle contrasts. The painting presents dynamic shapes that intertwine and overlap, creating a sense of movement and fluidity. The central figure, reminiscent of an angelic presence, is abstractly depicted with flowing curves and warm, earthy tones—perhaps symbolizing divine grace, protection, or spiritual awakening. Strashevich uses a palette of deep reds, browns, and golds, giving the painting warmth and depth, evoking both serenity and reverence. The interplay of light and shadow, with soft gradients and sharp angles, suggests the dual nature of existence—physical and metaphysical. Through this work, the artist may be inviting viewers to reflect on the unseen forces guiding their lives and the subtle presence of the divine in ordinary moments.
Presentation
Born 1951 in Odessa, Ukraine 1970 – graduated from the Odessa Art College. Grekova. 1975-1990 – worked as a muralist. 1977 - member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1970 – participant of city, all-Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions. The creative heritage of Alexander Strashevich includes not only works of monumental painting, but also paintings of building interiors, exterior mosaics, and sculptural works. In his work, Alexander prefers a modern plastic and color worldview, which allows him to harmoniously combine his works with modern interiors, including those in the high-tech style. His works show a plastic connection between sculpture and painting. He prefers abstract and postmodern styles, although he also writes realistic works.
