This artwork, at the crossroads of surrealism and fantasy, presents an intriguing and daring vision. At the heart of the composition stands an anthropomorphic figure where a boulder, in a bright yellow hue, replaces the usual head. This rock seems alive, intensified by the presence of a single, watchful eye, giving the whole a mysterious and almost supernatural dimension. The staggered legs, dressed in white knee-high socks and wearing classic black shoes, evoke a striking juxtaposition between the natural element and human attributes. This balance between nature and humanity illustrates a profound questioning of identity and perception. The contrast between the rough texture of the rock and the smooth simplicity of the legs creates a captivating visual tension, inviting the viewer to explore the multiple possible meanings of the work. The use of colors, mainly bright yellow against the neutral background, accentuates the singularity of this enigmatic figure. The red stamp visible at the bottom of the work adds a note of finality, perhaps a signature of the artist, and contributes to the overall aesthetic by introducing an additional touch of authenticity and mystery. This creation challenges and provokes reflection, inciting one to contemplate the strangeness and beauty that coexist in art.

Artist Statement: Secret Life of Rocks.

These are little observers - travelers moving through the universe over time unknown, shaped and colored by the sublime and unintelligible marvel of existence. Each Earthling is a portrait of a rock that I've collected from a place I've visited, or from a place a friend has visited.
They each come with their own name, serial number and a handmade certificate of authenticity.
