Description
This artwork captures an electrifying sunset over a cityscape, with a vintage muscle car prominently displayed in the foreground. The car, painted in vibrant shades of orange and black, exudes power and elegance, its sleek lines contrasting with the gritty urban setting. The city skyline in the background, bathed in warm hues of orange and yellow, evokes a sense of nostalgia and adventure. Power lines and palm trees frame the scene, enhancing the retro vibe. The juxtaposition of the car against the softly lit city suggests themes of freedom and exploration. The artist skillfully employs bold colors and dynamic composition to capture the essence of classic Americana, transforming an ordinary urban moment into something extraordinary. This piece stands out for its ability to evoke both movement and tranquility simultaneously, making it both impactful and unforgettable.
Presentation
Marco Barberio, 1971 Italy. During his life, he has always cultivated a passion for art and creativity, even without attending specialized schools. He spent his adolescence in the 80s, painting with the myth of American graffiti and pop art. In the 90s he was in the middle of the digital revolution and the birth of the Internet. Thanks to entrepreneurial intuition, the predisposition to new technologies and love for art, he founded a web company with the role of art director. In his US travels, he definitively consolidates the metropolitan subjects for his realistic paintings with references to pop icons. The artist describes the practice, called “sampled realism", as bringing him the greatest satisfaction by being able to balance realism against a more conceptual simplification of traits. His work completely reflects the dualism of these two forces.
