Description
SERB911
"Early Morning at the Church" is a captivating oil painting that captures the serene beauty of a summer morning in a quaint town. The artist's meticulous attention to detail and skillful use of colors bring to life a scene that seems to exude a sense of tranquility and gentle nostalgia. The foreground of the painting is dominated by a sunlit street, framed by buildings on either side. A crosswalk stretches across the cobblestone road, and at its center stands a woman accompanied by a child. The woman's posture suggests a moment of pause, as if she's engaging in a conversation with the child or perhaps admiring the view before them. Their presence adds a touch of human connection to the otherwise peaceful setting. Beyond the street, a lush park emerges, bathed in the warm hues of the early morning sun. The park is a haven of greenery, with trees in full foliage and flowers in bloom. The artist's brushwork skillfully captures the interplay of light and shadow, creating a natural play of colors that infuses the scene with vibrancy. At the heart of the composition stands a stately church, its façade bathed in the gentle glow of dawn. The church's intricate architectural details are rendered with precision, showcasing the artist's ability to capture the essence of the building's historical significance. The church serves as a visual anchor, drawing the viewer's gaze and giving a sense of spiritual importance to the surroundings. The summer morning atmosphere is perfectly captured by the artist's skillful rendering of light. The soft, golden sunlight casts long shadows across the street and park, evoking a sense of the early hours when the world is still awakening. The warm palette of oranges, yellows, and earthy greens adds to the feeling of warmth and leisure that characterizes the summer season. "Early Morning at the Church" is not merely a painting of a landscape; it's a contemplative moment frozen in time. It invites viewers to immerse themselves in the serenity of a summer morning, to imagine the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze, and to feel the gentle embrace of a town that has yet to be stirred to full activity. The painting captures the magic of an ordinary moment and elevates it to the realm of art, a testament to the artist's skill in capturing both the visual and emotional essence of a scene.

Born in 1960 in Konotop, Sumy Region, Ukraine.
1984 - Graduated from Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School (Department of Art and Graphics).
Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, painting and wood carving instructor, artist-designer.
Held the position of Chief Artist in Konotop.
Since 2000 - Independent artist.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
