Description
This captivating work presents a striking juxtaposition between black and white and an explosion of color. At the center, a slightly anachronistic flying object, reminiscent of a machine crafted from recycled materials, stands out with its retro style. It is suspended beneath a vibrant cloud of multicolored graffiti in the shape of hearts and various symbols, creating a bold contrast. Subtle details, such as paint splatters and fragments of posters with the inscriptions "SMILE NOW" and "CRY LATER", add an intriguing narrative layer. The concrete gray background, printed with diamond patterns, enhances the industrial and urban feel of the piece. This scene evokes the tension between dream and reality, tradition and modernity, prompting reflection on the evolution of our society and its rich visual heritage.
Presentation
Seaty is an artist born in 1983 in the South of France. He was part of the Toulouse graffiti scene in the early 2000's where he started writing tags on walls when he was still a child.
Starting 2008, he decided to give a new direction to his graffiti works and started to paint on canvas, developping his technique, without ever taking drawing or painting classes. His work evolved but the codes of urban culture are still there. Seaty wants to share with the viewers his vision of urban art, his emotions and experiences.
Today, after a 15-year artistic career, having built his street art practice, Seaty continues to represent the movement with passion and creativity.
