Description
Unique and original artwork signed by Jacques GORDE painted in oil paint on canvas. This impressive abstract work boldly plays with textures and hues. The artist uses a palette dominated by shades of beige, gray and touches of ochre, evoking a changing maritime landscape. The energetic and textured brushstrokes create a sense of movement and depth, encouraging the viewer to explore each layer. In the center, a contrast of black and blue suggests a central structure, perhaps a city silhouette, surrounded by soft, diffuse light. The vertical shapes at the ends add an almost architectural rhythm to the composition. The subtle balance between abstraction and suggestion makes this piece captivating, inviting personal interpretation while maintaining a striking visual rigor.
Presentation
Jacques Gorde is a famous painter from Nimes, he died in 2009.
Jacques Gorde's painting is powerful and a mix between figurative and abstract. Nothing is shown and everything is conjured up. His massive or subtle use of colors allow him to work on aspects bordering dream and reality.
Jacques Gorde is an all rounder, he paints by necessity. His paintings are filled with energy and vitality. The artist addresses several themes but the common point remains a zest for life. New-York, Lisbon, Nimes, Venice, landscapes, bulls, bull fighting, Africa, women....These subjects are portrayed by the artist in a sincere and intense manner.
His spectators are very enthusiastic when it comes to his exhibitions.
