Description
This striking artwork features a stylized portrait imbued with a fusion of abstract shapes and vibrant colors. The face, enigmatically serene, contrasts with the vibrant complexity of the patterns surrounding it. Bold hues of yellow, red, blue, and green, intertwined in swirling patterns, immediately draw the eye, creating a captivating visual dynamic. The bright yellow background further accentuates this tension between calm and movement. The fine, precise black line masterfully defines the contours of the face and decorative elements, adding depth and structure. This painting embodies a bold synthesis of tradition and modernity, evoking an aesthetic that is both timeless and contemporary. The bold artistic approach showcases the artist's technical virtuosity, making this work not only a visual feast, but also a profound reflection on identity and expression.
Presentation
I draw with graphite pencil and ink, watercolour, acrylic paint and oil paint. I like to mix techniques.
For this small-format exhibition, I have chosen to present different aspects of my drawing style and my watercolour practice.
I want you to discover my world, which is sometimes grey and sometimes colourful, often made up of swirls, and a reflection of my thoughts and my wandering mind.
I mainly use 300g/m2 watercolour paper with a fine grain and pure cotton, except for the works entitled Estampe 1 and Éclosion. These were produced on a lighter technical paper.
I invite you to open your mind and your imagination, to discover shapes and colours that I hope will resonate with you.
