Valery has a unique vision of a person, instantly imagining an image that is ideal for creating a portrait. He draws inspiration from historical, literary and fantasy images, seeing what eludes others, making his portraits truly unique.

A special place in Valery's work is occupied by a retrospective series of paintings inspired by the novel by A. Dumas "The Three Musketeers" and based on the 1961 Franco-Italian film of the same name. Portraits of the iconic actors who played the main roles, Gerard Barre and Mylene Demongeot in the images of their characters from this film are in the private collections of their families.
