Description
This vibrant and dynamic artwork is an ink and acrylic painting on paper. It features an explosion of colors and abstract shapes, mixing shades of red, green, blue and yellow. At the heart of the composition, we can distinguish a central shape evoking a vase, overflowing with fruit, which immediately catches the eye. Around it, floral and plant motifs integrate harmoniously, creating a captivating dialogue between nature and abstraction. The artist uses layering and transparency techniques, giving a fluid depth and movement to the whole. The contrast between warm and cool hues creates visual tension, while maintaining a subtle balance. This work celebrating nature evokes a dreamlike landscape where apparent chaos is transformed into perfect harmony, offering the viewer an immersive and contemplative experience.
Presentation
Isabelle Marie is a painter and textile designer. She holds a degree in arts from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
"My recent paintings are made on paper with mixtures of colored inks, watercolors and acrylics. The painted scenes are dreamlike, visionary and poetic. They constitute preparatory studies for larger format works.
My artistic creation explores the world of the living, borrowing the language of dreams. My paintings evoke images of nature and its multiple contrasts, on the border between the imaginary and the real, the visible and the invisible.
Plants, animals, the sun behind the clouds or reflections on the water constitute the motifs of the landscape which is built around an apparent perspective. The use of strong and acidulous colors allows to transmit the joy and the vivacity of the energy which surrounds and animates all things."
