Bernadette Van Baarsen   New & remarkable Artists

A contemporary abstract geometric colour field landscape in oil on canvas laid on board by Dutch artist Bernadette Van Baarsen.  Signed bottom left and presented in a white tray frame.

Highly colourful and full of energy, this joyful painting is one of an exciting new series called 'Intermezzi' by Dutch artist Bernadette van Baarsen.

An artist who is not afraid to explore new styles and techniques has now taken us fearlessly towards the abstract geometric. Bernadette uses strong vibrant fields of colour, beautifully balanced to bring together wonderful landscapes.

The colours bring the energy whilst the strong shapes ground the painting. A jewel of a painting.

This vibrant artwork presents an abstract landscape dominated by bold geometric forms and vivid colours. The composition features stylized houses nestled against a backdrop of sharp, angular mountains bathed in warm yellows and oranges. The sky, painted in a deep blue, contrasts strikingly with the energetic earth tones. Foreground trees, interpreted through flat planes of green, add depth and balance to the scene. The minimalistic yet expressive approach infuses the painting with rhythm and movement, making it visually captivating. The juxtaposition of cool and warm colours, along with the strong lines, suggests a dynamic interaction between nature and architecture. This artwork is a compelling exploration of form and colour, capturing the essence of a vibrant landscape in an abstract, modern style.
