Description
This artwork is a vibrant explosion of color and texture that immediately captures the attention. The painting is dominated by shades of pink, green, and white, creating a bold and dynamic visual harmony. Multi-colored strokes and dots add remarkable depth and movement, while geometric shapes and irregular lines provide intriguing structure. Touches of white illuminate the composition, contrasting with darker areas, adding relief. Each brushstroke appears to have been placed with intention, giving the work a captivating energy and rhythm. The artist demonstrates an exceptional mastery in balancing color and form, producing a piece that is both chaotic and ordered, evoking complex emotions and a sense of mystery. It is an expressive celebration of abstraction that inspires reflection and imagination.
Presentation
When, in March 2020, we were told we couldn't go out any more, FLOV' felt a compelling need to create a world of colour, to paint, to escape.
So she decided: 'I'm going to paint pictures that feel good'.
In her search for freedom, she came across a quotation from Matisse that she took as a personal message: 'Colour above all, and even more than drawing, is a liberation'.
Inspired by nature, she uses acrylic paint, which she works with a brush, a knife or any other object that helps her to express her emotions on canvas. She can add graphite, ink or chalk to suggest relief.
She lets herself be carried away by the gesture, creating intuitively, letting herself be guided by the colours and contrasts. You could say that she lets go, so she follows her emotions and lets the colours express themselves.
