Christophe Ruiz

Christophe Ruiz is a French visual artist, born in Pau in 1965. His approach is part of an urban pop aesthetic that combines ecological commitment and graphic energy. Working with recycled materials, he brings matter back to life by exploring the notions of transformation, evanescence and memory.

Her works, halfway between painting, collage, and bas-relief, evoke the controlled chaos of a changing world. Acetone, used to alter surfaces, becomes a tool of revelation: it dissolves to better reveal. Each piece bears the trace of a deliberate erasure, a crumbling that questions our relationship to time, the body, and the environment.
