Description
This captivating painting features a vibrant macaw, its splendidly detailed red and blue feathers set against a subtle, textured background evocative of nature. The work stands out for its skillful use of color, where the deep red of the bird's body contrasts magnificently with the brilliant blue of its wings. The macaw's focused, lively gaze lends a sense of character and personality. The texture of the background, with its soft, earthy brushstrokes, suggests depth and dimension, framing the bird within a setting that is both simple and sophisticated. Despite its apparent simplicity, the background highlights the majesty and exoticism of the macaw, which is the undisputed protagonist of the piece. This work is an excellent example of figurative art that celebrates the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
