Description
This captivating work depicts a couple under an umbrella, walking through a lush forest. The bold, vivid colors—primarily shades of green, blue, and yellow—create a striking contrast with the soft light emanating from the background, evoking a dreamlike atmosphere. The Impressionist technique, with its dynamic brushstrokes, conveys a sense of movement and vitality. The tall, slender trees frame the scene, emphasizing the intimacy of the moment shared by this mysterious couple. The skillful use of light and shadow suggests a dawn or a tranquil dusk, reinforcing the composition's romantic and timeless feel. The reflections in the water add an extra dimension, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in this poetic vision of nature and love.
Presentation
Pierre Douchez is a French painter born in Cambrai in 1975. JP Douchez's work claims to be expressionist, figurative with a generous contribution of material and colors. He does not want to shut himself up in an established order but gives himself the means to give free rein to his desires, his impulses while assuming his production beyond his influences. In Europe, his works, mostly acquired in private collections, are present in the most popular galleries and auction rooms
