Description
This artwork portrays a man with his arms stretched behind his head, exuding a sense of freedom and release. His shirtless torso, painted with a blend of earthy and muted colors, merges with abstract patterns that resemble reflections on water or hazy visions. This integration creates a surreal effect, as though the figure is both part of and distinct from his surroundings. The background's textured, neutral tones enhance the composition, imbuing the scene with depth and a dreamlike quality. The artist's technique of blending figurative and abstract forms challenges the viewer's perception, inviting an exploration of identity and introspection. The piece's dynamic lines and subtle use of transparency capture a poignant moment of vulnerability and strength, making it uniquely compelling.
Presentation
Over the years I gained experience in different painting techniques. My signature style is a reaction against the abstract Expressionism that has been dominating since the mid–20th century. Instead, I embraced symbolical, narrative and figurative style. Today my main focal points are classical oil and watercolor painting.
In the meantime, along with many works in the domain of landscape painting and still life, my focus has settled on the „realistic symbolism“. Through my paintings I am creating a narrative, using symbolism and human body. Biblical motifs, myths and legends inspire my art.
