Description
This artwork, an original fusion of pop culture and elite fashion, presents the famous animated characters in a dynamic play of bright colors and bold strokes. Tom and Jerry, protagonists of one of the most iconic cartoon series, are depicted in a moment of energetic tension and movement against a background that displays the "Chanel" logo. The integration of the logo of a luxury brand adds an ironic contrast, placing mass art in dialogue with the world of luxury. The dominant shades of lilac and gray create a modern and sophisticated atmosphere, while the outlines of the characters remain faithful to the classic drawing. The work thus manages to capture the attention of the observer, encouraging a reflection on the confluence of elements from different cultural worlds.
Presentation
Cristina Tichitoli (alias Crys) was born on August 09, 1981 in Milan where she graduated from the “Umberto Boccioni" artistic high school in 2001 with the visual graphic project Leonardo. The following year, she attended the "Rizzoli Institute for the Teaching of Graphic Arts" in Milan, specializing in advertising graphic techniques. In 2002/03 she obtains instead the certificate of assistant fashion photographer at the institute "CFP R.
Bauer" still in Milan. Over the years, she continued to paint with a passion for Andy Warhol's pop art, constantly experimenting, drawing inspiration from the world around us, such as famous images, comics, icons juxtaposed in a playful and ironic way, telling the story of contemporary life, the whole of society and the new generations.You collaborate with several galleries including "il melograno art gallery" in Livorno and the "Galleria Palmieri" in Busto Arsizio (Va) exhibiting in numerous collective exhibitions; in November you will participate in Artepadova '21.
