Description
This captivating work features a rich terracotta background, exuding timeless warmth and depth. The finely sketched black lines stand out boldly, forming an abstract silhouette that evokes a human figure or perhaps an architectural form. Interpretation is left to the viewer, adding an interactive dimension to the work. The visible, textured brushstrokes around the edges lend a raw dynamic, reminiscent of ancient frescoes. This contrast between the simplicity of the lines and the complexity of the texture creates a harmonious tension. This is a painting that provokes thought and emotion, offering a unique and engaging viewing experience. Each element of this painting is carefully orchestrated to awaken the imagination, while asserting a powerful visual presence.
Presentation
My paintings have been exhibited nationally, and some have been purchased abroad. For me, colors and shapes are the basis of abstract painting. I express myself primarily on wood or heavy linen canvases. These supports allow me to feel closer to reality and thus find greater balance in my work. I use various media such as binders, plaster, acrylic, charcoal, pencils, rare pigments, varnishes, and collage in my artistic process.
"The primary purpose of the material is not to give a sense of volume to the work. It must be left in its imprint state, it must remain, nevertheless, as a founding part of the project, upon contact with it the work comes to life."
