Description
This painting features a structured network of multicolored squares against a deep black background, creating a striking contrast. The carefully arranged squares display a vibrant palette of pinks, yellows, oranges, and whites, each imbued with its own intensity.
Some feature additional geometric patterns, accentuating the work's visual texture. The methodical yet dynamic arrangement of shapes evokes a rhythmic, almost musical harmony. Each square seems to play a role in a visual symphony, evoking colorful notes on a black score. This precise arrangement signals a perfect mastery of composition and color, transforming a simple grid into a fascinating work of art.
The interplay of colors and shapes encourages the viewer to explore each nuance, captivated by the energy and life that emanate from this creation.
Presentation
KOA is the alias of Ophélie Simonet, a self-taught artist, born in 1987 in La Rochelle, who shakes up brushes and minds from her HQ in Vendée.
Her world? A dopamine hit of pop culture, humor, nostalgia, and graphics. Touched by a rare form of synesthesia (ordinal-linguistic personification), the artist cultivates an atypical visual and creative sensibility.
Alongside his , KOA decided in 2024 to come out of the woodwork. Painting is his form of freedom and authenticity, his playground, his antidote to the monotony of everyday life and the monochrome of the era.
His work is a modern and delicious blend of colors combined with powerful contrasts. His unashamedly naive style breaks academic codes and celebrates the infancy of art.
Designed with a playful approach, its collectible pieces (such as figurines, toys, images, etc.) promise to revive disenchanted generations and inject a dose of fun into any wall.
