Description
Work from the 66° series: ICE LA ND - The silences of the soul
This luminous work captures a vibrant Icelandic landscape where shades of blue, green, and yellow intertwine harmoniously. The vast, ethereal sky is rendered in soft shades of white and blue, evoking a serene atmosphere. On the horizon, dark, almost mysterious touches of color suggest a line of hills, adding depth and contrast to the scene. In the foreground, the lush green Icelandic valleys, bathed in light, offer a sense of fluid movement, reminiscent of a gentle summer breeze. The bold interplay of texture and color makes this piece a captivating visual experience, transporting the viewer to a world both peaceful and silent. The striking contrasts and subtle details are a testament to the artist's talent and artistic sensibility, offering a unique and comforting vision of Icelandic nature.

As a painter, I choose to put the beauty of the world at the heart of my work. The 66° series:
ICELAND - The Silences of the Soul, shows the fragility of Icelandic landscapes: glaciers, volcanic beaches, midnight sun, boreal light, lagoons. The artist brings back from his travels, wild expanses, grandiose landscapes, Húsavík, Akureyri, Þingeyri, Jökulsárlón, Leirhnjúkur. Painting Iceland is a tribute to its power and vulnerability. MOCAS bears witness to this beauty, to better highlight its fragility. His paintings are a call to slow down, to feel, to reconnect with oneself while respecting the living. In the face of ecological threats, painting becomes a sensitive and poetic gesture of resistance, so that the beauty of this territory remains in memory.
