Description
Work from the 66° series: ICELAND - The silences of the soul
This artwork features the Icelandic landscape, dominated by a cloudy sky in pastel hues, creating a contrasting mood with vivid touches of yellow and orange in the foreground. The bold, textured brushstrokes bring a palpable dynamic, evoking silence and depth. The dark volcanoes on the horizon provide a visual anchor, highlighting the dramatic interplay between light and shadow. Subtle shades of blue and green add a calming dimension, balancing the intensity of the warm colors. This composition transports the viewer to a world where Icelandic and celestial energy coexist harmoniously, while highlighting the artist's technical skill and unique vision. A true celebration of nature, captured with remarkable intensity and emotion that invites us to protect it.

As a painter, I choose to put the beauty of the world at the heart of my work. The 66° series:
ICELAND - The Silences of the Soul, shows the fragility of Icelandic landscapes: glaciers, volcanic beaches, midnight sun, boreal light, lagoons. The artist brings back from his travels, wild expanses, grandiose landscapes, Húsavík, Akureyri, Þingeyri, Jökulsárlón, Leirhnjúkur. Painting Iceland is a tribute to its power and vulnerability. MOCAS bears witness to this beauty, to better highlight its fragility. His paintings are a call to slow down, to feel, to reconnect with oneself while respecting the living. In the face of ecological threats, painting becomes a sensitive and poetic gesture of resistance, so that the beauty of this territory remains in memory.
