With expressive brushwork and a warm, earthy palette, the composition offers a portrait of daily life and the enduring presence of water in shaping human communities. In the foreground, three robust wooden ferry boats dominate the composition. Their gently worn hulls, painted in white with hints of red and aqua, speak to years of faithful service. Their placement at a slight angle, aligned in a diagonal curve from the bottom left to the center of the canvas, draws the viewer's eye naturally into the scene. Ropes tether them securely to the dock, while subtle shadows and reflections ripple in the green-brown water, giving the surface a sense of depth and movement. Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
