Description
This intriguing artwork juxtaposes past and present through a clever collage. Within a black oval frame, three children in retro outfits stand out, two in the background wearing sunglasses. The striking contrast is created by the girl in the foreground, whose bright red swimsuit and bright yellow duck float are added in bold color, breaking with the monochrome background.
The artist skillfully plays with temporality and the contrast of eras, emphasizing modernity through the use of bright colors and bold strokes. The red element, a symbol of audacity, and the star on the left perhaps signal a rebellious assertion, giving the work a stimulating narrative and visual depth. Presentation
Britt is a French artist, born in Lyon. After studying Art History, she took up the trade of her mother as a decorative painter. She spends her days on construction sites, painting frescoes, trompe-l'oeil, faux marble, coatings. For the past ten years, she has been painting paintings in mixed media. She works with posters she finds in the streets of Lyon, Genoa, Paris...
The influence of pop art, street art is visible in his work.
For the past few months, she has been raging on the walls of Lyon with her little girls, a tribute to Vivian Maier, from whom she has taken up the image of a little girl to call out to people in the street about the rights of women and children, to raise awareness environmental and social justice issues.
