The oil painting on Cardboard titled "Where the fairy tale lives" offers a poetic glimpse into the serene coexistence of two seasons, where the last golden echoes of autumn yield softly to the silent approach of winter. It is a landscape steeped in delicate transition—between warmth and chill, earth and sky, solitude and wonder. The composition captures not just a place, but a mood, a hushed moment where time pauses and breathes in the presence of nature's quiet majesty. At the heart of the painting stands a tall pine tree, its weathered trunk rising boldly from the forest floor. The branches stretch upward, their needles rustling gently in the crisp air. Touched by dabs of warm ochre and russet, the tree is alive with movement and color, a living pillar anchoring the viewer's gaze. Around it, other trees lean and sway, their trunks painted with expressive, energetic strokes, suggesting a life force that continues pulsing through the landscape even as the air cools and the sky shifts. The background unveils a broad expanse of shimmering water, possibly a lake or sea, rendered in flowing horizontal strokes of blue, turquoise, and soft lavender. The surface is gently broken by light ripples, evoking a breeze that dances across it. Above, the sky is layered with cool pastel tones—icy blue, pale aqua, and whispery white—forming an open dome of atmosphere that enhances the feeling of breathless space. The sky doesn't dominate; instead, it exists as a gentle canopy, framing the trees and water below in an ethereal calm. To the right, a winding forest path emerges from the underbrush and meanders toward the trees. It is subtle yet distinct, rendered with earthy greens, moss, and touches of slate. It draws the eye inward and invites one to walk into the heart of the forest. This pathway feels symbolic—a journey not only into nature, but into the stories and silence it holds. The title of the work suggests this is no ordinary woodland trail; rather, it is an entrance into something magical, where fairy tales of snowflakes and starlight might awaken from the shadows.
