Description
Sklim19
The painting “Portrait of a Young Couple" by Ukrainian artist Oksana Sklym captures the charm and energy of youth through a striking double portrait. On the left, a young man in a suit with vivid blue eyes radiates confidence and a subtle smile, while on the right, a young woman in a red beret and dark attire gazes thoughtfully into the distance, her red lips and soft features emphasizing elegance and individuality. The composition, created with a mosaic-like texture, highlights contrasts — masculine and feminine, light and depth, present and future. The use of blue tones unifies the background, suggesting calmness and balance, while the vibrant accents in the eyes and the beret symbolize passion, vitality, and aspiration. Through this work, the artist expresses the romantic ideal of youth, the beauty of individuality, and the harmony found in togetherness. It reflects both the uniqueness of each personality and the invisible bond that unites them, capturing a timeless moment of love and promise.
